Gate valves are the prime choice for on-off isolation in long-distance oil and gas pipelines, steam and feedwater systems in thermal power plants, chemical storage tank inlets/outlets, and municipal water supply mains, where minimal pressure drop and high-pressure integrity are essential. Ball valves, with their 90° quick-action and superior sealing, are widely used in petroleum and gas transmission, chemical media switching, LNG cryogenic services, and gas distribution networks, particularly where tight shut-off and frequent operation are demanded. Butterfly valves offer a cost-effective solution for large-diameter piping, finding broad application in municipal water supply and drainage, wastewater treatment, power plant circulating water, and HVAC systems; triple-offset metal-seated designs further extend service to high-temperature duties. Check valves are installed at pump discharges and along pipelines to automatically prevent backflow, protecting centrifugal pumps, compressors, and turbines from water hammer and reverse rotation – they are standard in water supply networks, oil pipelines, and chemical plants. Globe valves excel in high-temperature, high-pressure throttling and shut-off, playing a critical role in boiler feedwater, steam systems in thermal stations, petrochemical units, and nuclear power loops. Pressure reducing valves automatically reduce and stabilise upstream pressure to a preset downstream value, widely applied in steam heating distribution, gas pressure reduction stations, industrial water supply, and fire-protection systems. Angle valves are preferred in confined piping layouts and flashing/erosion services, performing reliably in petrochemical, power, and paper industries. Three-way valves enable flow diversion, mixing, and temperature control – they are indispensable in heating and cooling circuits, chemical blending processes, and marine cooling systems. Plug valves offer rapid, low-friction operation and are especially suitable for oilfield production, natural gas transmission, and services handling waxy, sandy, or contaminated media. Safety valves serve as the ultimate protection barrier, installed on boilers, pressure vessels, and pressurised pipelines; they automatically open to relieve overpressure, preventing catastrophic failures and ensuring personnel and equipment safety.
